VisiStat offers a great solution for web analytics and marketing management. The graphic user interface allows you to quickly find and understand information about your website regardless of your analytic skills. With VisiStat there is no need to hire a pricey technical consultant to configure the tools which is great for the small to medium business owner who wants to keep track of traffic and conversions without breaking the bank.
Pricing options are available to meet a variety of needs. The price referenced here is based on monitoring one website that receives up to 1 million page views per month (although this service is capable of tracking up to 7 million).
The base price for this service without additional modules is $300 monthly or a slightly discounted rate of $3,420 annually. We recommend using the three extra modules – AdCam ($14.95 monthly, $119.95 annually), PageAlarm ($9.95 monthly, $79.95 annually), and Identities ($14.95 monthly, $119.95 annually) – because together they create a very powerful and comprehensive website analytics tool.
Additional domains may be added for $10.00 per month ($120.00 per year) and page view usage will be aggregated and shared amongst all domains either monthly or annually. VisiStat requires a minimum one year commitment whether you choose a monthly or yearly payment plan.

The graphic user interface employed by VisiStat is very easy to use, but lacks the option to customize. Most reports and statistics are logically located and very little explanation is needed if you understand the basic concepts of web analytics. Drill down is available, but can’t get extremely deep.
VisiStat does not analyze server logs; instead they focus on browser level activity and only monitor human activity. Because this is a tag based system it will not work if the visitor has JavaScript disabled.
You can use this solution from most smart phone browsers and it tracks visitors who use mobile devices to access your website. If you are constantly on the go, email alerts can be set up using Activity Alerts. These can be tailored to notify you of specific website activities.
In addition to tracking search engine referrals, VisiStat offers a variety of keyword tools such as a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Analyzer, a keyword analysis tool, and keyword trending to help organizations optimize search engine page ranking for websites. These are very convenient if you plan to run a pay-per-click campaign.
In order to track campaigns, campaign ROI, and conversions you will need to purchase the AdCam package. This tool helps you to track all of your online marketing efforts including pay-per-click, banner ads, and e-mail campaigns.
VisiStat offers a free no obligation 7-day trial, but does not provide a free service.
Whether you are looking for information about page views or average time spent on your website, there is not much VisiStat misses. This program can even tell you how long an individual visitor stayed on a single page. Page and visitor information drills down to specific visitors and monitors every action as they navigate your website.
Both internal and external referrals are tracked. External referrals are generated based on search engines or referring sites, whereas internal referrals tracks search topics once the visitor is already on your site.
This solution gathers computer information about visitors such as browser, operating system, and can even tell you which version of Flash is installed on the visitor’s computer. Browser identification even includes data about lesser known providers like Opera and Konqueror, screen resolution information includes the screen color depth, and language data tracks 27 of the world’s most common languages.
Reports in VisiStat are only available to export in Excel format. You can also print them if you would like (if you have Adobe Acrobat you can technically print to PDF).
If you need help using VisiStat, the best place to start is VisiStat University. This is an online program dedicated to educating clients about the program. Here you will find tips and information, how-to videos, tutorials, help and support.
They also offer support by telephone at no extra cost. Make sure to review the FAQ before calling. Most questions about VisiStat can be answered there.
