NetInsight comes with many of the same features as our top three web analytics solutions with a few exceptions. They are a little behind the curve in offering a social network monitoring tool, which is quickly becoming a must have utility. Also, only a limited amount of data can be accessed from mobile devices like BlackBerry’s and iPhones.

NetInsight features a customizable graphic user interface that allows users to create personal profiles based on their role within a company. Don’t worry about bots or spiders corrupting your valuable data, Unica can filter those out and report crawler activity separately if you would like.

You can generate and view reports in a variety of languages, including French, Spanish, Italian, German, and Japanese, however this is not an out-of-the-box feature that requires additional configuration.

NetInsight also offers drill down capabilities, trending analysis, and heat maps that overlay pages on a website to show which areas receive the most attention.

Traffic Stats:  

NetInsight aced our traffic stats section, providing the same basic functionality as our top three contenders, plus some. This solution easily gathers information about page views, visitor history, entry and exit pages, visit duration, and even tracks the path of each visitor as they navigate your website.

Referrals:  

In addition to tracking where a visitor comes from, Unica can also record which search terms visitors use once they arrive on your site. This allows you to optimize the content on your page based on what your actual visitors are looking for.

Report Stat Intervals:  

Once again this is a section NetTracker had no problem perfecting. Reports can be run on a variety of metrics based on any number of date ranges. Comparing data from nearly any angle is easily achieved using this solution.

Events:  

Unica tracks each event from each visitor to your website. Everything from click-through to downloads, and even RSS feed subscriptions. NetInsight also tracks page errors and can alert the webmaster when a link becomes invalid.

Visitor Details:  

All technographic and geographic information for visitors is collected including browser, operating systems, IP addresses, Country, etc.

Help/Support:  

Unica offers several support options including telephone, email, online knowledge base, recorded tips and tricks videos, and customer conference. The price for these options is included in the subscription license.
