Webstat.com LLC released NextSTAT web analytics as a Saas (Software as a Service) in 2006. NextSTAT works with SMTP, POP, HTTP, and HTTPS sites and offers a variety of customized reports. This solution can also email your webmaster if a problem is detected on your website.
NextSTAT is a web analytics program designed to help you improve your site and can help you begin to understand your visitors and what they are looking for.
The NextStat high volume package that includes 1 million page views per month costs $1919.95 annually, and includes 2 site profiles. Additional profiles can be added for $5.00 each per month.
The graphic user interface featured in NextSTAT is pretty standard but does not offer customization.
As with most JavaScript based monitoring solutions, NextSTAT can only gather limited amounts of data from visitors who have disabled JavaScript or cookies in their browsers.
Conversions can be tracked but this option requires additional configuration.
NextSTAT offers a free 2 week trial but does not offer a free version of their software. You have the option to track multiple sites for an additional $5 per site, per month.
External referral data tracked by NextSTAT includes referrer domain, search engine, and key word usage. Internal search tracking is not yet available with this solution.
More complex data about your site such as Flash event tracking, multimedia stream monitoring, page errors, and feed subscriptions cannot be tracked using NextSTAT.
If you would like to export reports you are limited to PDF and Excel formats.
One good thing about NextSTAT is that they offer free technical support via telephone, email, and a searchable online knowledge base and FAQ page.
Overall, NextSTAT is fine if you are only tracking basic information about your visitors, but if you are looking for something more robust take a look at the most comprehensive web analytics solutions on the market: Coremetrics, Omniture, and WebTrends.
